Camera Work

We confidently deliver the technical shots you need and expect for your important event or project using the very best video recording equipment to effectively capture your scene from the required angles with complex camera techniques.

As an example, the short clip to the right demonstrates a 2-axis camera crane or jib effect; the camera platform (drone) is raised while simultaneously tilting the focal plane downward.

Notice the subject remains stationary and in focus throughout the entire range of movement while creating a smooth sense of motion in the background.

Crane/Jib Effect

The brief introductory videos, at the top of this page and to the right, are included to demonstrate a number of single, double, and even triple axis camera maneuvers, requiring the simultaneous movement of the camera gimbal and drone smoothly in multiple directions to produce a desired video effect.

These cinematic & stylized shots, when combined with advanced video editing and paired with our wide selection of audio, allow us to produce your event video, short film or music video to the standards you expect, as you can see in the example below, shot at El Matador State Park just north of Malibu California. earlier this year.

Post Processing

We work almost exclusively with uncompressed RAW video because we use high-end professional cinematography & video equipment; this is gives us a significant competitive advantage over others providing similar services but using consumer grade equipment.

Because of the work we've been doing for over 5 years in our photography business, we're able to leverage much of the same graphical data processing knowledge and infrastructure to produce highly professional video content that rivals much larger production companies

While others may offer video for events, such as weddings, or commercial purposes such as real estate, in most cases, they are limited by the amount of raw data they're able to capture and process to deliver their final product due to limitations in the consumer grade equipment used.

Factors Affecting Video Quality

As a professional photographer, we use only use raw photo format to capture our still images in order to ensure the maximum amount of data is recorded each time we release the shutter on our  cameral equipment.

This is one of the most basic, yet critical components of advanced  photography; allowing the images to be color graded and edited in our post processing workflow to produce a final product.

Raw photos are much larger than JPEG images because they're uncompressed & therefore retain all of the original data captured by the camera to be used throughout the production process.

In contrast, JPEG images have had color, sharpening and compression algorithms applied by the camera and the image data is substantially reduced from what the camera sensor was able to collect & therefore much less data is available to be used for color correction or editing in post production.

The same principles of raw data apply to videography resulting in extremely large data processing requirements which, in most cases are only used by high-end production companies, but which allow for advanced post production video editing techniques and used to create the higher quality video products.

Raw Video Size and Data Rate (Feeds & Speeds)

Video size & data rate are the parameters that equate to the volume of raw information used to encode your video files and which determine the overall quality of your video.

Raw video size parameters we offer include:

4K (4096 × 2160) 24p, or (3840 × 2160) 24/30p @ 1.7 to 2.4 GBPS

2.7K: (2704 × 1520) 24/30p @ 1.7 to 2.4 GBPS

1080P: (1920 × 1080) 24/30/48/60p @1.7 to 2.4 GBPS

We process raw video using  Apple ProRes 4444 XQ and deliver your final product according to your stated resolution requirements.

in comparison, consumer-level drones, such as the Phantom 4 series and even  the Inspire 1 Pro, are only capable of data rates of up to 60 MBPS!

Earlier Phantom series drones , such as the Phantom 3, are limited to 40 MBPS!
