A Pool of Liquid Gold

The Loch Vale, in Rocky Mountain National Park. I had hiked in to this location, as I usually do, well before sunrise. I poked around in the pre-dawn to find the best spot, which ended up being knee deep in freezing water; this particular morning was right after a light snow and there was a light layer of ice on the water. I ended up standing in this spot for hours as I waited for the sunrise to slowly rise above the peaks just to the right (out of frame) and begin to illuminate the rock face and reflect in the waters before me.
